We’ve now got used to the fact that Adam Wingard’s The Woods is a not-so-secret sequel to the 1999 found-footage frightener The Blair Witch Project and we now have a new image from the film to share with you.
The image (above) shows a woman in the rain gasping at something she’s seen, but what? We’re not sure exactly, but we can imagine it’s something spooky. Check out the trailer below, too, to see what scary moments await us when Blair Witch hits our screens next month.
Synopsis:
After discovering a video showing what he believes to be his sister’s experiences in the demonic woods of the Blair Witch, James and a group of friends head to the forest in search of his lost sibling.
We’re very excited to see what eerie events Wingard will explore in his sequel and we hope it’ll erase the pain felt when we saw the 2000 sequel Book of Shadows. It’s probably best we forget that one ever happened.
Blair Witch stars Corbin Reid, Wes Robinson and Valorie Curry. It will be released on 15th September in the UK and 16th September in the USA. Look out for our review soon!
