October is the prime month for scary stories and Amazon is certainly taking advantage of that fact. On 13th October the streaming service will premiere its anthology series Lore, which is said to “celebrate the origins of the horror genre” by combining a documentary style, narration and cinematic scenes.
The series will be based on the podcast of the same name which presents disturbing stories based on truth. Five million people listen to the podcast every month, so it has quite the following. It began in 2015 and was quickly described by EW as one of the podcasts you need to listen to.
Amazon’s series will consist of six episodes and will based on the stories from the podcast, including a haunted doll and a creature that torments a German village.
