Lionsgate has acquired the rights to a military horror film that – believe it or not – is based on true events. That’s something we don’t hear very often, isn’t it?
Very little details have been announced from the film, so we don’t even have a title or an official synopsis yet. However, it is said to be a military-based exorcism tale that will be produced by Beau Flynn, who has produced The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Rite; so has plenty of experience with possession-centred horrors.
Military horror films are rare and they tend to focus on zombies and allow for full-blown action. A supernatural spook-fest will certainly be interesting and we’re intrigued to see how soldiers fare with demonic entities; because they can’t tackle them with guns and explosives, surely?
