Fresh off of directing a prequel to Pet Semetary, Lindey Beer is set to write, direct, and produce a Sleepy Hollow reboot for Paramount!
Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” was first published in 1819 and follows Ichabod Crane, a superstitious schoolmaster who encounters a terrifying spectre, the Headless Horseman, in the woods around the village of Sleepy Hollow. Tim Burton adapted the story for the big screen in 1999, with Johnny Depp playing Crane.
Exact plot details for Beer’s adaptation aren’t known at this time. Other producers on the project include Todd Garner and Spencer Walken of Broken Road Productions.
