Requiem for a Dream filmmaker Darren Aronofsky and star Jared Leto are teaming up once again for Adrift, a new horror movie based on a short story by Koji Suzuki, writer of the novel that the Ringu movies were based on.
Set in the dead calm of the open sea, the story follows a fishing boat that discovers an abandoned yacht with a strange distress call. A deckhand agrees to take lone control of it while it’s towed into port, but soon discovers why the rest of his more experienced crew members call it a Ghost Ship…
Aronofsky is writing the adaptation with Luke Dawson. Jason Blum is producing for Blumhouse Productions.
