Several attempts have been made over the years to get a Let the Right One In series off the ground, and it seems one has finally stuck. After greenlighting a pilot episode recently, Showtime has officially given a 10-episode order.
Andrew Hinderaker (Away) will serve as showrunner on the series, which will be directed by Seith Mann (Homeland). Demián Bichir (The Nun) will star alongside Madison Taylor Baez (Selena: The Series), Anika Noni Rose (Bates Motel), Grace Gummer (American Horror Story), Kevin Carroll (The Walking Dead), Jacob Buster (Colony), and Ian Foreman.
The series version of Let the Right One In will centre on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez), whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.
