Let The Corpses Tan in US Cinemas this August

Posted on: June 5th, 2018

Having acquired the North American rights to the film out of last year’s Toronto’s Midnight Madness, Kino Lorber have set a release for Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani’s Let The Corpses Tan! (original title: Laissez Bronzer les Cadavres!).

The film, which is the third feature from Cattet and Forzani, the co-directors behind 2009’s stunning giallo-inspired arthouse nightmare Amer and follow-up The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears, will hit limited US cinemas on August 31st.

Set during a beautiful Mediterranean summer, the story follows Rhino and his criminal gang, who have just made off with 250 kg of gold and are hiding out in a remote, abandoned hamlet occupied only by an artist in search for inspiration. The hoodlums’ sanctuary however, is compromised by the arrival of two cops and some surprise guests, and the heavenly place once home to wild happenings and orgies soon becomes a gruesome battlefield.

An adaptation of Jean-Patrick Manchette and Jean-Pierre Bastid’s 1971 crime novel, Let The Corpses Tan! stars Elina Löwensohn (Dark Water, A Very Long Engagement), Stéphane Ferrara (Paprika) and Bernie Bonvoisin.

The big screen release will followed by a launch on SVOD, VOD and physical media in the autumn.
