Legendary Entertainment and The Picture Company have nabbed the rights to the short film They Hear It from director Julian Terry. This is the director’s first foray into horror and film-making in general, so could this be the first sign of an exciting up-and-coming genre director? We hope so!
The short film centres on a strange noise called The Sound that lures children when they hear it. Is it because only they can hear it? Or is it just a sound that is appealing to the younger ear?
Unsurprisingly, the film has been compared to A Nightmare on Elm Street and It; both horror films that see the deaths of children and teenagers at the centre. We wonder if there’ll be a Pennywise-Krueger-esque killer at the centre of this possibly slasher short.
Hopefully we’ll be able to see the film soon, because it sounds super intriguing. If it does well, perhaps a full-length feature will be on the way soon after
