Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism, Into the Dark) has been tapped to direct The Devil’s Light, a supernatural horror-thriller from Lionsgate and Gold Circle.
The film tells the story of Sister Ann, a young woman who devoutly believes that performing exorcisms is her calling. To combat the global rise in demonic possessions, the Vatican has opened exorcism schools in six countries, including the United States. Unfortunately, the institution only allows priests to perform exorcisms, but a professor allows Sister Ann to observe the training sessions. There, she comes face to face with one of the school’s most disturbed patients—and a demonic force infesting the school that has mysterious ties to her own past…
The Devil’s Light was written by Robert Zappia (Halloween H20: 20 Years Later). Production is expected to begin this spring.
