It’s less than a week until Adam Wingard’s Death Note hits Netflix and we are extremely excited to see the Blair Witch director’s interpretation of the iconic manga series. In Death Note, a student named Light finds a notebook that kills those whose names are written it. With a Shinigami called Ryuk, he makes drastic decisions about those he deems unworthy of life.
Check out the short and sweet clip below, which shows L (Laiketh Stansfield) confronting Light (Nat Wolff) about a difficult moral decision he must have had to come to. It teases the clash of intelligent minds that is so important to the Death Note story and showcases the striking visual style of the series.
Death Note lands on Netflix on 25th August and additionally stars Willem Defoe, Margaret Qualley, Shea Whigham and Masi Oka.
