Blumhouse look set to continue their streak of television terror, as their latest offering The Passenger adds some star power.
Kyle Gallner has been confirmed to take on the lead in The Passenger, Blumhouse’s newest collaboration with EPIX. Gallner adds considerable horror clout to the project, with a filmography including A Haunting in Connecticut, 2010’s A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Cleansing Hour and 2022’s Scream and Smile.
Alongside Gallner, Liza Weil of How to Get Away with Murder and up and comer Johnny Berchtold of Gaslit will also star. The Passenger is described as follows:
“The film follows Randolph Bradley (Johnny Berchtold), who is perfectly content fading into the background. When his co-worker Benson (Gallner) snaps and goes on a violent killing spree, he’s forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past in order to find a way to survive. Liza Weil plays Miss Beard, Randall’s first-grade teacher who lost an eye after a classroom accident. She finds herself keeping Randall safe as she’s dragged into Benson’s destructive mission.”
Directed by Carter Smith of the bonkers The Ruins, The Passenger certainly sounds promising and we will keep our eyes peeled for a release date.
