Director Kevin Smith (Red State, Tusk) is wading back into the dark waters of the horror genre with Killroy Was Here—and during Comic-Con at Home, he dropped an official trailer (below).
Co-written by Smith and Andrew McElfresh, the horror-comedy anthology was inspired by the iconic “Kilroy was here” graffiti that frequently popped up during World War II. During his Comic-Con panel, Smith compared his film to anthologies like Creepshow and V/H/S and noted that the character of Killroy is a kind of “kid Avenger” who appears anytime people mess with kids. Azita Ghanizada, Ryan O’Nan, Chris Jericho, Justin Kucsulain, and Jason Mewes are among the cast.
Killroy Was Here is expected to release in early 2021.
