Back in April, we reported that John Logan, the creator of Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, would be making his directorial debut with a horror movie for Blumhouse Productions. The project was previously titled Whistler Camp, though it seems that’s no longer the case and the film is currently untitled. But we do have some exciting casting news to share with you: Theo Germaine (The Politician) will lead the film’s cast, which will also feature Kevin Bacon (Tremors)!
Bacon will also executive produce the movie, which is being described as a “queer empowerment story set at a gay conversion camp.” Jason Blum and Michael Aguilar will serve as producers, with Ryan Turek overseeing the film for Blumhouse.
Kevin Bacon is no stranger to the horror genre, of course, having starred in the original Friday the 13th early in his career. More recently, he’s appeared in films like 2016’s The Darkness and 2020’s You Should Have Left.
