We’ve mentioned in the past few months that there seems to be some movement on a sequel to 2009’s Sorority Row.

The film, a loose remake of 1983’s The House on Sorority Row, concerned a group of sorority sisters targeted by a tire iron wielding killer, after covering up a horrific crime. Although one of the least successful remakes of the Hollywood craze, we know enough about the horror genre to glean that failing to turn a profit has never stopped a sequel.

In recent months, Sorority Row and Saw X screenwriter Josh Stolberg has taken to social media to ask for any “modern” experiences from sorority members. The writer later clarified that he was “researching,” and used the hashtag #SororityRow2.

Now, Stolberg has offered up an even more concrete update via X. Posting a picture of himself posing with the killer’s trusty tire iron, captioning the image “The tire iron is coming back. SR2”

This sounds like pretty firm confirmation that a Sorority Row sequel is being actively pursued, and has led fans to speculate that this may be why Stolberg cannot return for 2025’s Saw XI.

So far, Stolberg’s social media posts are the only mention of a sequel we have, but we expect something bigger in regards to confirmation soon. We’ll be on the lookout.
