Following three remarkable successes, Jordan Peele is set to take the director’s chair once more and unleash his fourth outing on Christmas Day 2024.
Details are sparse at the moment, with the project not even having a title and having just entered pre-production. However, the marking of Universal’s calendar with “Untitled Jordan Peele Movie” has indeed set tongues wagging.
Peele’s films have become events in the horror-verse, with each one garnering critical acclaim and leading to stellar box-office returns. With Get Out Peele challenged racial stereotypes and consequently the film became one of very few horror films to win an Academy Award.
Similarly, his 2019 offering Us played on the primal fear of doppelgängers and losing one’s sense of self. Most recently Peele has ventured into sci-fi terror with his 2022 UFO tale Nope doing stellar numbers at the box-office.
Fans are eager to see what the new genre favourite will conjure up next… A sequel to 2021’s Candyman, perhaps?
For now it seems only time will tell and the stage is currently set for a holiday fright-fest like no other. We will report more details on Peele’s latest project as they become available.
