Resident Evil is getting the reboot treatment and it’s kicking off with Johannes Roberts at the helm. He’s a great choice, because after directing 47 Metres Down, The Other Side of the Door and The Strangers: Prey at Night he’s proved himself to be a versatile horror director.
Based on the video game series of the same name, Resident Evil followed Alice as she battled zombies that spawned from Evil Corp. The films were pretty good, but they did deteriorate in quality as the franchise progressed. We’re sure no one’s going to be too mad that we’re getting a re-imagining, even though Milla Jovovich was a bad ass leading lady.
Production will begin in 2019. Who would you like to see play Alice this time round?
