A Quiet Place is still getting a spin-off movie, but Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special) is no longer attached to direct. According to Deadline, he’s supposedly “pivoting to focus on the sci-fi project he is developing at Paramount, which the studio is very high on.”
This third entry in the A Quiet Place franchise is based on an idea by John Krasinski and has been dated for a March 31st, 2023 release. Krasinski and Emily Blunt will likely not appear in this instalment, though a future film that continues the Abbott family’s storyline is not out of the question.
At this time, Nichols’ replacement has yet to be announced, with Deadline noting that agencies are currently submitting options. We’ll keep an eye out for further developments to share with you.
