June 16th 2023 marked the 45th anniversary of Jaws 2, widely considered one of the best sequels in horror history.
To celebrate this milestone, Universal have decided to treat fans with a stunning 4K UHD/Blu-ray release. This takes the number of films in the Jaws franchise that have made it to this upgrade to two… We’re still waiting for Jaws 3-D and Jaws: The Revenge to receive the honour, but we won’t hold our breath, and fans likely won’t mind if those are overlooked… Ahem.
Jaws 2 takes us back to Amity Island, four years after Sheriff Martin Brody defeated the Great White shark that was terrorizing his community. To Brody’s horror, a new shark enters the waters and targets a group of teens on a boating trip, including Brody’s two sons.
