Universal has ordered a pilot episode of Run For Your Life; a supernatural thriller that will be executive produced by the unstoppable horror force: Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions. Is there any genre film or series that he’s not somehow involved in? How does he find the time?!
Run For Your life will focus on the last night of Dia de Los Muretos AKA Day of the Dead, where a grieving detective is caught up in a deadly game to bring someone back from the dead. The pilot will star Josh Segarra, Andrew Jacobs, Carlos Leal, Danube Hemosillo, Angela Alvarado, Jennifer Landon, Kadeem Hardison and Fernanda Andrade.
It sounds like an intriguing concept and we especially like the idea of a series that blends crime with supernatural horror. If the pilot is developed into a series it will air on the USA network or Syfy. Watch this space!
