Principal photography has wrapped on Future World, which is being co-directed by James Franco and Bruce Cheung. The script has been written by Cheung and Jay Davis, but is based on an original story from Franco. Future World’s star-studded cast features Milla Jovovich, Lucy Liu, Suki Waterhouse, Snoop Dogg, Margarita Levieva and Jeffrey Wahlberg.
Synopsis:
The movie is set in the barren landscape of a post-apocalyptic world, where a young Prince from the Oasis (one of the last known safe-havens) and a robot named Ash go on a daring journey of self-discovery – one that winds through the violent and desolate world of the Wastelands.
James Franco is immersing himself in the world of direction and, according to iMDB, he will be sitting in the director’s chair a whopping 7 more times between now and 2017. Among the films there is a documentary about Tommy Wiseau’s The Room and an adaptation of Steve Erickson’s 2007 comedy novel Zeroville.
Future World will now head to the editing room, so keep your eyes peeled for a release date.
