Hot on the heels of the action-slasher Onslaught, A24 are unexpectedly bringing us another movie of that ilk.
Since the spooky season is right around the corner, undoubtedly all good “haunt” experiences will be sold out the world over.
Or… maybe not. The first teaser for A24’s newest slasher Slayground might just scare patrons away.
We don’t know much about the movie, as the studio has kept it oddly quiet, and the teaser doesn’t give a lot away.
What we can glean from the clip is that someone is taking their job at an “extreme Halloween haunt” deadly seriously. Seemingly dressed as an axe wielding samurai, someone stalks the neon halls as patrons file through, completely unaware of the threat!
Taking cues from the likes of The Funhouse and Hell Fest, Slayground could be the perfect treat this Halloween season.
The movie comes to us from Green Room filmmaker Jeremy Saulnier, who writes, produces and directs.
Gotham actor Cory Michael Smith stars, alongside Chase Sui Wonders, Stanley Simons, Young Mazino, Stephen Root James Badge Dale, Matty Matheson, and Imogen Poots.
Despite promising Slayground will release this October, A24 have not yet issued a solid release date.
Lots of mystery surrounding this one, yet we’re unsure why. We’ll let you know once we have any further info on Slayground, until then, you can peep the first teaser below:
