“INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR” UNLEASHES FINAL TRAILER

Posted on: June 13th, 2023

“Witness the terrifying conclusion…”

Insidious: The Red Door entered the final phase of its promotional campaign last week with the release of a final trailer, and it promises one hell of a freaky final battle for the Lambert family.

Beginning with a long track-in towards the famous red door, beckoning us to “the further,” we are once again given a brief recap of Insidious and its 2013 sequel. In the present we see Patrick Wilson’s Josh Lambert and his now-grown adult son Dalton. The pair are haunted by shared nightmares, which Wilson explains are not nightmares, but memories re-emerging and that “the further” is reaching out to finally snag the family that got away.

The clip’s stand-out moment is undoubtedly Wilson being loaded into an MRI scanner and slowly losing his cool as the lights go out and claustrophobia sets in. To cap the scene an entity leers out of the scanner’s seemingly endless black tube towards the camera.

Accompanying the final trailer, we also got the theatrical release poster. The image highlights each returning cast member including Wilson, Ty Simpkins as Dalton, Rose Byrne as his mother Renai and Lin Shaye’s Elise Renier looking from afar.

Written and directed by Patrick Wilson, Insidious: The Red Door will act as the final instalment in the “Lambert Family arc.” However, this will not be the series finale, as Thread: An Insidious Tale has already been confirmed, and will open various new directions for future films.

Insidious: The Red Door will hit theatres July 7th, and we’re very intrigued to see how it performs after a five-year absence. You can check out the final trailer below.
