“IMMACULATE” TRAILER TEASES SINISTER MIRACLES IN FIRST LOOK AT HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEON THRILLER

Posted on: February 4th, 2024

“Suffering is love…”

Continuing the trend of religion-based horror, NEON have released the first full-length trailer for their hotly anticipated convent tale Immaculate.

The film stars The White Lotus actress Sydney Sweeney as Cecilia, a young woman whose devout faith and miraculous survival win her a place at a remote Italian convent. However, the young novitiate soon suspects the convent harbours some very sinister motives as bizarre events begin to occur. Chief among these sinister goings-on is Cecilia’s seemingly immaculate conception of a child…

In a clip dripping with atmosphere and religious iconography, Immaculate looks set to sit amongst some of the best religion-based horror of late. Taking a cue from The Nun II, the normally gorgeous European countryside has a distinctly chilling feel, as do the endless halls of the convent.

For her part, Sweeney looks to be subjected to quite the rollercoaster of emotions, as we see her witness dreadful events, including the suicide of another young nun.

Doing a great job of whetting our appetite, but not giving away very much, the trailer for Immaculate will surely draw audiences in to unravel the sinister mystery at this film’s heart.

Directed by Michael Mohan, from a script by Andrew Lobel, Sydney Sweeney also serves as an executive producer on Immaculate.

Set to release on March 22 2024, we hope the film delivers on a trailer that is filled with promise and disturbing imagery.
