A whopping batch of images have been unleashed for David F. Sandberg’s Lights Out which shows that having an imaginary friend can be terrifying. The film follows Rebecca (Teresa Palmer) and her little brother Martin (Gabriel Bateman) as they must face their childhood fears.
Synopsis:
When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn’t real when the lights went out…and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has re-emerged. But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger…once the lights go out.
Lights Out is based on the short film from Sandberg and we have it for you to watch below. It’s very spooky and focuses on a woman who witnesses terrors in her apartment when the lights go out. It’ll definitely have you feeling uneasy in your quiet, dark and ominous bedroom when you try to sleep tonight.
Be sure to catch Lights Out when it is released in the USA on 22nd July in the USA and 19th August in the UK. If you’re planning to head to Canada’s Fantasia Film Festival this year, Lights Out will be screening on 20th July.
