Image Entertainment has announced that it have acquired the rights to teen werewolf horror Uncaged. The film will mark the debut of director Daniel Robbins and follows an 18-year old as he straps a camera to himself to discover what happens to him when he sleepwalks. I imagine he’s a werewolf, but who knows?
The trailer for Uncaged can be seen below and it looks pretty great. There are some gruesome transformation moments and the special effects look top-notch. The blending of found-footage and traditional filming looks to work well, and films like Lovely Molly prove that opting out of using totally hand-held cameras can be a good decision. The recent Late Phases was a great spin on the werewolf genre, so let’s hope Uncaged can be another interesting addition.
