With Scream 7 set to slash into theatres very soon, promotional tie-ins are popping up everywhere.
However, the most exciting one has just landed, and given Scream 7 its killer official theme song!
Coming to us from huge Scream fans Ice Nine Kills is the song Twisting the Knife. In a first for the Scream series, the band brings their signature brand of grungy symphonic rock to the soundtrack. And that’s not all! In a move that makes Twisting the Knife even more epic, the song features vocals from Scream 7 star Mckenna Grace.
Telling the tale of a toxic relationship, the song acts as a duet, as two lovers detail their pain of being together, yet being unable to live apart.
A suitably grim music video accompanies the track, with multiple appearances by Ghostface himself.
In a further piece of fun promo, an extended video for Twisting the Knife acts as its own short Scream movie. Following the reveal that David Arquette is directing the music video, the set is plunged into chaos by the arrival of Ghostface. Featuring some fun nods to the franchise lore, the two-part video has gone over well with Scream fans.
So, with Paramount Pictures firing on all cylinders with promotion, Scream 7 looks to be on its way to great success at the box-office. Could it be the horror event of 2026? We’re eager to find out.
