As promised, filming on Hulu’s Castle Rock has now started. The news comes courtesy of The Greenfield Record, who shared a few behind-the-scenes shots of the show’s location. Check these out here.
Castle Rock will combine the mythology and characters of Stephen King’s most loved novels, including Cujo, It and The Shawshank Redemption. It’s an exciting concept and we hope that it translates to the screen as well as we could hope. It’s a complicated idea, but one that could be wholly unique and creative if successful.
Castle Rock comes from Bad Robot Productions and executive producer J. J. Abrams. Check out the previously released teaser for the show below, which gives you an insight into Castle Rock’s inspirations.
Writers Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason have the daunting task of weaving King’s many worlds into one. The cast includes Bill Skarksgard, Sissy Spacek, André Holland, Jane Levy and Melanie Lynskey.
