The feature debut of director Michelle Garza Cervera, Huesera: The Bone Woman has delivered a chilling trailer that might make you think twice about cracking your knuckles… or getting pregnant.
In the film, which was co-written by Cervera and Abia Castillo: “Valeria, a young woman expecting her first child, becomes cursed by a sinister entity. Plunged into a terrifying and dangerous world, a group of witches emerge as her only hope for safety and salvation, but not without grave risk.”
We praised Huesera: The Bone Woman in our Fantastic Fest review, calling it a “powerful addition to the pregnancy horror sub-genre.” Natalia Solián, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Batalla, Mercedes Hernández, Aída López, and Martha Claudia Moreno star.
Huesera: The Bone Woman is getting a theatrical release from XYZ Films on February 10th before hitting VOD platforms on February 16th. Following that, expect to catch the film on Shudder in North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand in the near future.
