The release of cosmic horror game The Chant has been slightly delayed, moving back from October to November 3rd. While we wait, though, we’ve got a brand new trailer to enjoy that highlights some of the monsters we’ll soon encounter!
A single-player, third-person horror-action-adventure game, The Chant comes to us from publisher Prime Matter and developer Brass Token and is set on a remote island spiritual retreat. According to the game’s Steam page: “A peaceful weekend soon turns to dread after a group chant opens The Gloom, a psychedelic dimension of terror that feeds off negative energy.
“Interact with a recurring cast of characters, untangle the complex history of the island, and witness terrifying revelations about the cosmos. Only you can fight off the creatures, reason with the survivors, and unravel the legacy of a cult from the 1970s to reverse the ritual.”
The Chant will be available for the Xbox Series, X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Check out the new trailer below.
