The visionary director behind the surprisingly impressive Evil Dead remake is back and ready to unleash his next horror effort Don’t Breathe. It looks like another intense feature filled with suspense and surprises, but there is a teeny spoiler within the trailer. We urge you to not watch if you want to go in, for lack of a better word, blind.
The story follows a group of young people who try to rob a blind man’s house, but they soon learn that they’ve picked the wrong house and the wrong man to mess with. What ensues is a nail-biting thrill-ride that proves that being able to see does not make you any less vulnerable. It sounds like an intriguing concept and would perhaps work well as a double-feature with Mike Flanagan’s Hush – which you should all watch immediately, if you haven’t already done so. It’s brilliant.
Fede Alvarex has written and directed Don’t Breathe with writer Rodo Sayagues (Evil Dead) and Sam Raimi is on-bard as a producer. The film stars Jane Levy, Daniel Zovatto, Dylan Minnette and Stephen Lang, and will be released on 26th August 2016 in the USA and on 9th September 2016 in the UK.
