Releasing as part of Hulu’s “Huluween” celebration in the U.S., Hellraiser is set to debut on October 7th—and the first official trailer summons the Cenobites back to our realm!
A reimagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic, Hellraiser was directed by David Bruckner (The Night House, The Ritual) and written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (The Night House, Super Dark Times). Jamie Clayton (Sense8) is donning the pins this time around, playing the iconic Hell Priest, Pinhead. The trailer also teases the return of Chatterer, as well as introducing a few new Cenobites into the mix.
In Hellraiser: “A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.”
Hellraiser’s ensemble cast includes Odessa A’Zion (Let’s Scare Julie to Death), Adam Faison (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay), Drew Starkey (The Devil All the Time), Brandon Flynn (Ratched), Aoife Hinds (The Long Call), Jason Liles (Rampage), Yinka Olorunnife (The Transporter), Selina Lo (Boss Level), Zachary Hing (Halo), Kit Clarke (Get Even), Goran Visnjic (The Boys), and Hiam Abbass (Blade Runner 2049). Clive Barker served as a producer on the project.
