Arrow Video have such sights to show you this Halloween…
The company has already garnered untold praise for their Hellraiser Blu-ray releases over the years, and with the announcement of their October slate, they’ve let us know they’re not done yet with this legendary series!
Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment will see Arrow bring the first four films in the extensive franchise to 4K UHD as well as standard definition Blu-ray. With the addition of the fourth film to their roster, Arrow have gone all out with this release.
Whilst we can’t possibly list every single extra feature here, rest assured, what’s on offer is out of this world. As well as including all previous extras (no small amount within themselves,) Arrow have crafted new extras as well, including feature length documentaries on each film!
However, where this set really shines is in its presentation of Hellraiser: Bloodlines. Previously only available on a four-film set with parts 5, 6, and 8, here, the film has a gorgeous set all to itself, laden with brand-new extras.
The most exciting feature Arrow brings us is undoubtedly a newly unearthed work-print of the notoriously troubled film. Here viewers can see a look at director Kevin Yagher’s original vision for the movie before studio interference caused the filmmaker to walk away and remove his name entirely. This has been sought for years, and it is a credit to Arrow that they have found it, no doubt it will be this stunning set’s unique selling point.
