The sequel to 2025’s sleeper hit Heart Eyes continues to gain steam with an exciting update!
According to official sources, Heart Eyes 2 has locked in a release date, and is set to slash into theatres on February 11th 2028.
It has also been revealed that Paramount Pictures have picked up the sequel for worldwide distribution. The studio distributed the original film to international territories, with domestic distribution being handled by Screen Gems.
Paramount’s acquisition of worldwide distribution suggests they have faith in the Heart Eyes brand, and expect the sequel to be a hit.
Writer-director Joel Ruben will return to his duties on Heart Eyes 2, as will story writer and executive producer Christopher Landon.
Stars Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt have been confirmed to reprise their roles, with further casting announcements expected soon.
Plot details for the sequel remain unknown, but have been rumoured to involve someone new taking on the “Heart Eyes killer” mantel, targeting the survivors in revenge.
