If you’ve been wondering when David Gordon Green’s Halloween would premiere, then we have an answer for you: at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada. The showing will be a month before the film’s official release on 19th October, so those early reactions are going to be important.
TIFF 218 runs from 6th-16th September and other films confirmed are Karyn Kusama’s Destroyer, Shane Black’s Predator and Gaspar Noe’s Climax.
Laurie Strode (Curtis) comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers (Nick Castle), the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Remind yourself of the excellent, scary trailer below and bask in the return of Michael Myers and an exquisitely chilling score from horror maestro John Carpenter. It’s also great to see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode and be introduced to her family. The final scene is particularly spooky and shows a very real monster hiding in the closet.
Halloween stars further stars Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner and Nick Castle as Michael Myers AKA The Shape. Be sure to catch Halloween when it is unleashed on 19th October 2018.
