“HALLOWEEN H20” HEADING TO 4K FOR 25th ANNIVERSARY

Posted on: August 13th, 2023

The Night He Came Home… to you!

Unbelievably, August 5th 2023 marked 25 years since the release of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. The seventh entry in the Halloween franchise now seems ahead of its time, as it bucked the current “requel” trend and retconned every movie in the timeline save for the original and its 1981 sequel. Original star Jamie Lee Curtis returned for the first time in 17 years to the role of Laurie Strode and helped rescue the franchise as it lingered over direct-to-video hell.

Picking up 20 years after the events of the 1978 original, we find Laurie Strode now living under a new name and overseeing a secluded California boarding school. Assumed dead, her brother Michael Myers tracks her down and 20 years of hiding, angst, and fear all comes a to head on Halloween night 1998.

Reaching the 25-year mark and still being remembered is a feat for any movie, but still being regarded as one of the best in its respective series is quite something.

That is why Paramount Pictures have opted to give Halloween H20 the ultimate upgrade, bringing it to you in glorious 4K UHD this fall, encased in a stunning steelbook package.

Housing the film on 4K, standard blu-ray and with a digital code, this is one that will whet the appetite of physical media fiends the world over.

With stunning new artwork, the set screams fall vibes with its warm orange hues.

Due for release on September 26th 2023, you can pre-order the set now from all good physical media outlets. What better way to spend your Halloween night than with Michael Myers? On the screen that is… Happy viewing!
