It has been confirmed that Halle Berry will star in Alexandre Aja’s supernatural horror Don’t Let Go after much speculation and false starts.
The project was initially announced last year under the title Mother Land by Lionsgate, the project is currently filming in Vancouver, British Columbia and is expected to wrap in early June.
Berry will portray a mother haunted her entire life by an evil spirit. Her demons have caused the desperate woman to isolate her family in a woodland cabin. However, their safety is threatened when one of the children questions if evil exists, prompting the spirit to track them down once more.
Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins have also been added to the cast, however, their roles remain undisclosed.
Berry will also serve as a producer on Never Let Go, and the film serves as only Berry’s second turn in the genre, following 2003’s Gothika.
Never Let Go currently doesn’t have a release date, but it is likely the film will release in 2024. We will report any solid details as they emerge.
