The final trailer has been unleashed for Gareth Evans’ Apostle at it is absolutely gruesome and rather terrifying. There’s something about that score that rattles my brain and I love it. The film already hit Netflix, so what are you waiting for?
We love the eerie atmosphere and the creepy soundtrack that bolsters the film’s horror centre. It also looks beautifully shot, with a location that emphasises the supernatural and occult themes of the story. All hail Gareth Evans. And Dan Stevens.
Synopsis:
The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.
In addition to Stevens, Apostle stars Michael Sheen, Lucy Boynton, Bill Millner and Kristine Froseth. Look out for film on Netflix, if you haven’t already.
