The remake train is never slowing down and cult classic The Little Shop of Horrors is the next stop. Warner Bros has now cast Greg Berlanti as the film’s director and the script will be written by Matthew Robinson.
Berlanti was the director of 2010’s romantic comedy Life as We Know It, so that’s a good start… Robinson was the writer behind 2009’s The Invention of Lying and is also writing the script for the upcoming action-adventure Monster Trucks. It’s an interesting duo, that’s for sure. Let’s hope they can bring as much comedy and laughter as 1986’s Little Shop of Horrors, but let’s not forget that that, too, is a remake of the 1960 original directed by Roger Corman.
Keep your eyes peeled for more as it comes.
