Director Gore Verbinski is making a welcome return to horror with A Cure for Wellness, a film that has been described as a supernatural thriller. You can check out a viral promo video for the film below, which doesn’t feature much horror per se, but has an undeniably eerie soundtrack and tone. The voiceover describes an illness that we all have, but thankfully, there’s a cure and we’re guessing that’s what the film will explore.
There isn’t an official plot for the film yet, but there is a great cast attached to A Cure for Wellness that features Mia Goth (The Survivalist, Suspiria (2017)), Dane Dehaan (Life After Beth, Kill Your Darlings), Jason Isaacs and Celia Imrie.
We’re excited to see Gore Verbinski return to horror, because personally, we thought his remake The Ring was an exceedingly creepy affair, so here’s to hoping that A Cure for Wellness can conjure up the same level of fright.
A Cure for Wellness will be released on 17th February 2016.
