With an X-Files reboot in the works, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the return of its original stars.
Whilst nothing has been confirmed, Gillian Anderson has been vocal about her willingness to reprise her role as Dana Scully.
Whilst we wait with bated breath to see if she’ll appear in Ryan Coogler’s X-Files, Anderson has gifted us with a mini Scully return… sort of.
LEGO recently challenged fans to come up with designs as part of the “Build Your Nostalgia – 90s Throwback” line. The winner of the contest would have their design mass produced and sold around the world. The winning design? An X-Files LEGO tribute, of course!
The 1478-piece set includes Fox Mulder’s iconic office beneath a forest setting, where a UFO hovers above an alien being. Included are miniature versions of Dana Scully, Fox Mulder, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman and the aforementioned grey alien.
To unveil the set, LEGO partnered with Gillian Anderson to produce a delightful promo video.
In the clip, Anderson is alone in her hotel room before a knock at the door alerts her to an anonymous package. Channelling Dana Scully, Anderson snaps on a pair of latex gloves and gets to work building.
Muttering dialogue typical of her iconic character, the video has made fans long for the return of Agent Scully, giving us a tiny taste of what could be.
Until then, fans can pass the time with this awesome new LEGO set, designed by lifelong X-Files fan Brent Waller.
It will be available for purchase from August 4th 2026, and is a must have for any X-Files devotee.
