George C. Romero, the son of horror legend George A. Romero has collaborated with Free Reign Entertainment on the zombie game Romero’s Aftermath. The game is all about survival and the setting is a huge environment which includes deserts and forests. Not only will you be battling the undead, but also other survivors. It’s all free to play, unless you want to access items quicker. You’ll have to loot, trade and cook animals to survive, and it’s ‘free to win’ so your survival and progression is based solely on your skills.
Synopsis:
Play with your friends in a zombie-infested world as you face the remnants of zombie hordes and rebuild society in a truly massive sandbox world. Choose how you want to play with hundreds of items, skins, weapons, character customizations, base building, crafting, zombies, and more!
So far, the game has over 300,000 users and a third of those joined within the first day. Considering the amount of competition this game must have, this is impressive and we’re sure George C. Romero has had an impact on this. When speaking about the game he has said, “When I had the opportunity to collaborate on Aftermath, I jumped at the chance to bring my experience working on horror films into a new medium. Free Reign has built a great title that I think players are going to love, whether they’re new to the survival horror genre or a huge fan like myself.”
