Gareth Evans’ anticipated Apostle has been confirmed to be hitting Netflix later this year. The Dan Stevens-starrer will be available to Netflix subscribers worldwide from 12th October, so only a little over 2 months to go.
The synopsis for Apostle is as follows:
The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.
Although it’s not The Raid 3, we’re excited to see more from the The Raid/Raid 2 director, who also directed the Safe Haven segment of V/H/S 2.
In addition to Stevens, Apostle will star Michael Sheen, Lucy Boynton, Bill Millner and Kristine Froseth. Look out for the cult-centred tale this October 12th. Check out the flaming eerie poster below.
