Following a successful whistle-stop tour of the international festival circuit, including screenings at Sitges, FrightFest and Fantasia, the eye-grazing splatter rollercoaster thriller, FOR THE SAKE OF VICIOUS will release this Friday, April 16.
Written and directed by Gabriel Carrer (The Demolisher) and Reese Eveneshen (Defective), the film takes place on Halloween with overworked nurse Romina (Lora Burke, Poor Agnes) heading home after the late shift. Expecting to put her feet up, all hell breaks loose as she finds a tortured maniac (Nick Smyth) and a suspicious hostage (Colin Paradine) holed up in her kitchen. The crazed intruder is owed a debt of blood and wants a mystery confession from his hostage. But, to make matters worse, a band of masked mercenaries breach the house, clearly having no intention of taking any prisoners.
With the film releasing in Select Theatres April 16, On Demand April 20, before a May 4th Blu-ray release, SCREAM caught up with Carrer and Eveneshen who discussed overcoming 24/7 chaos management (from blood flooding the basement to the set being haunted) to create an rough and gritty, no-holds-barred, action-packed gorefest.
