Just days after word broke that Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller was working on a new Friday the 13th TV series called Crystal Lake, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Fuller is also writing, directing, and producing a new horror movie. That movie is called Dust Bunny and will star none other than Hannibal Lecter himself, Mads Mikkelsen!
The movie, which is described as a “throwback to the family horror films of the 80s,” is being co-produced by Entertainment One and Thunder Road and will tell the story of an eight-year-old girl who enlists the help of an intriguing neighbour to kill the monster under her bed. Oh, and she believes that that monster ate her family…
“We have been huge fans of Bryan’s for years,” says Thunder Road’s Erica Lee, who serves as a producer alongside Basil Iwanyk. “Dust Bunny is incredibly inventive and unlike anything in the marketplace.”
Filming on Dust Bunny is slated to begin in January 2023.
