We’ve been following the progress of the Friday the 13th game for quite some time, so it’s sad to report that it has been delayed until the summer of 2017. All went a bit quiet on the Voorhees front and with October coming to a close – can you believe it? – it was strange that the game hadn’t been given an official release date.
It’s not all doom and gloom however, because the game is getting some added features which should make the extra wait worth it. There will now be a single-player experience and the option of AI bots for players who want to play offline. The online mode will still remain the game’s focus.
When speaking about the game’s delay, co-creator Wes Keltner said, “Coming to our decision to delay was no easy matter, but we believe that the positives far outweigh the negatives. […]It sucks that there’s a delay, but the wait won’t be too long and it’s going to offer more for fans in the long-run!”
Keep waiting Friday the 13th fans; the game will be with us soon!
