“FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S” DEBUTS FINAL TRAILER AND POSTERS

Posted on: September 9th, 2023

“Ghost children possessing giant robots…?”

The folks at Blumhouse and Universal have blessed us with an action-packed final trailer for their hotly anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s feature adaption.

Based on the series of best-selling video games, the movie stars Josh Hutcherson as a single-father forced to take a nighttime security post to make ends meet. The job he has acquired sees him guarding Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, a formerly booming children’s party joint with huge animatronic mascot animals… who may not be as placid as they seem.

From it’s very opening this clip lets us know we’re in for a fun ride with FNaF, as we witness a group of teens loot the pizzeria, only for one poor soul to meet Freddy Fazbear himself. As the smiling robot offers him a cupcake, the teen is yanked off screen as his screams echo.

Looking to mix the supernatural with elements of the slasher sub-genre and a surreal David Lynch-esque atmosphere, FNaF certainly looks to hold buckets of potential, if this final trailer is anything to go by.

Starring Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Kit Connor Sterling and Matthew Lillard, the PG-13 flick is set to release both in theatres and on Peacock October 27th 2023.

Easily one of Blumhouse’s most anticipated projects, the simultaneous release on streaming may stop this one from topping the box-office, as may its rumoured 3-hour runtime.

However, the trailer and some brand-new teaser posters certainly promise a fun, brutal and garishly bright time, so we will just have to wait and see. You can check out the latest trailer below:
