The first teaser has finally arrived for the anticipated sequel to 1982’s Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049 and it is beautiful. Exploding with gorgeous cinematography and an eerie atmosphere, the trailer shows the return of Harrison Ford and newcomer Ryan Gosling.
Blade Runner 2049 has director Denis Villeneuve at the helm and his track record with films is, quite simply, perfect. Arrival is one of the greatest films of 2016 and Prisoners is one of the most gripping thrillers of all-time. Could Blade Runner 2049 be one of the best films of 2017? Quite possibly.
Synopsis:
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
