First Official Trailer For Cooties Will Have You Cowering From Children

Posted on: May 21st, 2015

Cooties-poster-02Recently we saw the light-hearted yet creepy poster for zombie horror Cooties, and now the first official trailer shows the exact reasons why kids can be horrifically scary.

Fortunately, it’s a comedy horror, so the fun jokes might remind you that your children won’t try to eat you alive whilst you sleep. Leigh Whanell (Insidious) and Ian Brennan (Glee) are executive producing this twisted tale of teething toddlers.

Cooties stars Elijah Wood (Maniac, Lord of the Rings), Rainn Wilson (Pineapple Express) and Alison Pill (The Newsroom) as the teachers, untrained for zombie children, fight for their lives whilst bickering about unimportant issues including an awkward love triangle. Wood will also produce the film alongside Tove Christensen, Georgy Malkov and Steven Schneider.

Cooties will be released by the newly-launched Lionsgate Premiere Label on September 18th 2015 in select theatres and VOD.

An elementary school is overcome by rabid toddlers after they consume a food virus that sends them drooling over flesh. The unconventional teachers build an incompetent army against the pupils plaguing the playground, but will they make it out when they can’t stop bickering over a pointless love triangle.
