First Look at Images from Sci-Fi Series Dark/Web

Posted on: September 7th, 2016

Dark WebThe first set of images have been released from the sci-fi-horror anthology series Dark/Web, which you may remember we described as going into production at the beginning of this month. The series sounds very similar to another one called Dimension 404 that Hulu are putting out, as it features similar themes surrounding fears of technology and the internet.

Dark/Web will follow various interconnecting stories that stem from a woman who receives mysterious and cryptic emails. The segments will be directed by Zelda Williams – daughter of the late Robin Williams, Boman Modine, Mario Miscione and Michael Nardelli. The series will star Nicholas Brendon, Brian Elerding, Lana McKissack, Sibongile Mlambo and more.

Synopsis:
The series is framed by the story a group of young adults living in a technologically connected near future in which everything, and every one, is online. When three of them become the target of cryptic emails from someone posing as their childhood friend Molly, they assume she’s been the victim of a hack, only to learn she’s been missing for months. Combining the anthology format with an overarching mystery, as the emails pile up, each one contains a tale ostensibly written by Molly, and clues are uncovered that may lead to her location.

Check out the images below which don’t give away too much information or plot details, but give us a good look at various members of the cast with Rene Heger and Siobhan Fallon Hogan for example. We do like the lighting and use colour in the second image, which gives us a taste of the futuristic vibe the series may be channelling.

Dark/Web will be produced by the directors of the thriller Circle – Aaron Hann and Mario Miscione, but there is no word on when the series will debut, so watch this space.
