Witches seem to be becoming the horror villain de rigueur of late, and there’s another headed our way in Don’t Knock Twice, an upcoming supernatural horror starring genre regular Katee Sackhoff.
Known for her roles is Oculus, Riddick and TV series’ including 24 and Battlestar Galactica, Sackhoff plays an anguished mother estranged from her daughter Chloe, played by Lucy Boynton, soon to be seen in supernatural thriller I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ Nick Moran also stars, as Detective Boardman.
Don’t Knock Twice follows a guilt-ridden mother (Sackhoff) who wants to reconnect with the daughter (Boynton) she was forced to place into care. To save her estranged daughter, she has to uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.
Caradog James (Little White Lies, The Machine) directs from a script by writing duo Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler who, with careers built on penning children’s TV, broke rank to write Paul Hyett’s Howl in 2015. The film was shot last summer in Wales.
A release date has yet to be announced.
